Buff fans prepare for trip to Arrowhead where Deion Sanders made his mark

Each win brings Deion Sanders and the 16th-ranked CU Buffs closer and closer to a spot in the Big 12 title game. Colorado travels to Arrowhead on Saturday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Colorado Buffaloes football team is heading east to Kansas City to face their biggest test of the season.

The Buffs (8-2) will play the University of Kansas Jayhawks (4-6) on Saturday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. Mountain time and will be televised nationally on FOX.

The game is being played at the home of the Kansas City Chiefs while the Jayhawks' on-campus stadium undergoes renovations this season.

With two games left in the regular season, each win brings head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs closer to a spot in the Big 12 title game.

Ranked 16th in the newest Associated Press college football poll and the latest College Football Playoff rankings, every CU football game this season will be broadcast nationally on ESPN or network TV.

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders addressed the media Tuesday following the Buffs' blowout of Utah last weekend.

Sanders was joined by Colorado superfan Peggy Coppom, who was celebrating her 100th birthday on Tuesday.

Coppom has been a fixture of CU athletic events for decades, side-by-side in her yellow sweater next to her twin sister, Betty Hoover, who passed away in 2020.
