Colorado football gets another national TV slot after epic OT win

Colorado will be on network television for a 5th time this season, matching the Buffaloes' total from 2023.

BOULDER, Colo. — The Colorado football team has landed another nationally televised game following a miraculous overtime win over Baylor Saturday night.

CU Athletics announced Monday its game at Central Florida on Saturday, Sept. 28, will kick off at 1:30 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on FOX.

FOX announced that "Big Noon Kickoff," its Saturday morning college football pregame show, will air live from Orlando for the Colorado-Central Florida game.

The game is Colorado's fifth in five games to start the season that will be broadcast nationally.

With five games selected for network television this season for the Buffaloes, the program matched the total from 2023, which is the most in a season in program history.

The Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders will appear this season on all four networks in the same season for the first time in school history. Games this season have been scheduled to air on FOX, CBS, ABC and NBC.

Colorado's Week 1 season opener vs. North Dakota State was ESPN's highest-rated college football opener in seven years, garnering an average of 4.8 million viewers.

"Whether you like it or not, you want to see it," Sanders said of his program.
