BOULDER, Colo. — The Colorado football team is ranked for the first time in a year, but the team will have to wait to find out the start time of their next game.

Instead of announcing the start time of CU's next game, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday that the Buffs' game, against Texas Tech on Saturday, Nov. 9, will be a "six-day selection," meaning the kickoff time will be announced next Sunday.

The Big 12 did announce that Colorado's game at Texas Texas will be broadcast either on FOX or FS1.

Iowa State's game at Kansas on Nov. 9 is also a six-day selection will be on FOX or FS1.

The Texas Tech game will be Colorado's ninth in nine games that will be broadcast nationally. This Saturday, the Buffaloes have a bye week before the Texas Tech game.

In Colorado's game last Saturday, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw a pair of touchdown passes to Travis Hunter and ran for a score to help Colorado become bowl-eligible with a 34-23 win over Cincinnati.

Sanders put on quite an efficient aerial show, completing 25 of 30 passes for 323 yards. He completed his first 15 passes, which was the most to start a game in program history.

Head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs have won five of six and are now ranked No. 23 in The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll, their first ranking since they appeared in three straight polls early last season.

CU Buffs 2024 football schedule

The CU games selected for network television this season are the most in a season in program history, breaking last year's record of five.

The Buffaloes and Deion Sanders will appear this season on all four major networks in the same season for the first time in school history. Games this season have been scheduled to air on FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC and ESPN.

Colorado's Week 1 season opener vs. North Dakota State was ESPN's highest-rated college football opener in seven years, garnering an average of 4.8 million viewers.

"Whether you like it or not, you want to see it," Sanders said of his program.
