INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is celebrating the upcoming 2024 NBA All-Star Game with new decorations all over the terminal.
Thousands of NBA fans are expected to travel to Indianapolis in about a month's time, and once they get off their flights, they'll be greeted to a shrine of all-things basketball.
The main attraction of the new decorations is a life-size NBA court that has been installed in the middle of the main lobby. While fans won't be able to play basketball on the court, they'll be able to walk on it and take photos.
Along with the court, fans and travelers can check out custom basketballs painted by local Indianapolis artists.
Airport officials say there will be more to come once the All-Star game gets closer to tipoff. Guests at the airport can listen to live music from local musicians, see custom artwork in the KIND Gallery and shop at pop-up stores for fans to grab All-Star merchandise before the game.
"We’re ready to deliver a world-class experience that continues to make us known as the best airport in North America year after year," airport officials said.
