DENVER — Do you know a mascot who is out of work?
The Denver Nuggets are accepting job applications for their next SuperMascot Rocky.
The NBA team has posted a job listing for a new mascot performer/coordinator.
The new Rocky will oversee all aspects of the Nuggets' mascot program, including performances at all home games and various community and internal events, the team said.
The mascot position calls for at least three to five years of mascot experience, as well as the ability to excite, motivate and entertain a crowd. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) said a great sense of humor is a must.
Applicants also must be 5’5” to 5’9” in height.
"As a mascot performer for KSE properties, you will be considered a world-class performer and ambassador for our sport property at all home games and public appearances," the Nuggets' job offer says. "You will also actively contribute to the goals of the Game Presentation Department and sports property and support key initiatives in the following areas; Community Relations, Marketing and Events, Youth Development, and Partnerships."
While a previous Rocky performer had a reported $625,000 salary, the new mascot salary range is $70,000 to $130,000 annually.
