DENVER — Denver Police said Wednesday afternoon that they are in contact with the person who appears to have been punched in the face at Monday night's Denver Nuggets game by a man reported to be one of Nikola Jokic's brothers.
A video of the incident has been circulating on social media. Police said Tuesday that they were aware of the video that appears to show an incident that occurred at Ball Arena during the playoff game against the L.A. Lakers. They said no one reported the incident at the arena or after the game ended.
Police said Wednesday afternoon that they are in touch with the person who was hit, and "DPD continues to look into this incident."
The video shows the man charging toward another person in the stands and then shows him appearing to punch a fan wearing a blue shirt in the face. Jokic's wife is nearby holding their daughter.

Christian Gallegos said the game had ended when the incident happened. He was sitting a few rows behind the Jokic family and had his phone out to grab some video of them when it happened.
"One of the Jokic brothers got pretty angry, and it looked like he climbed over a couple of seats to have an altercation with a fan and then struck him with his fist," Gallegos said. "It was a pretty shocking moment."
A few fans stepped in to separate the two, and both sides walked away without security or police getting involved, Gallegos said.
"He kind of took it like a champ, got back up kept exchanging some words, and then they were separated from that," he said.
The Nuggets trailed for much of Monday's playoff game but secured the win on a buzzer-beater by Jamal Murray to take a 2-0 series lead over the Lakers. The 101-99 victory also extended Denver's winning streak over Los Angeles to 10 consecutive games.
Game 3 in the series is set for Thursday at 8 p.m. in Los Angeles.
