DENVER - More than 900 guests welcomed the 2015 class of inductees into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame banquet Thursday night at the Denver Marriott City Center.
Denver native Chauncey Billups headlined a star-studded class of inductees including Roy Halladay, Becky Hammon, John Dikeou, John Gagliardi and Warren Mitchell.
Billups was a four-time All-State pick and was voted Colorado's Mr. Basketball three times.
After winning two state championships for George Washington High School in Denver, Billups played two season at the University of Colorado averaging over 18 points per game.
During Billups' 17 season NBA career he played for seven teams and averaged over 15 points per game. To see Billups' acceptance speech watch the video:
