DENVER — The expected snow has caused the Colorado Rockies to postpone their Friday night game against the Seattle Mariners.
The team tweeted Friday afternoon that the game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Sunday. In a split doubleheader, admission is charged separately for each game.
The first game will begin at 1:10 p.m. as originally scheduled. The second game will start at 6:10 p.m.
The Denver area is expected to receive about 4 inches of snow Friday night into Saturday morning. The snow will likely start falling in the metro area after 6 or 7 p.m.
It will stay mainly gray with a chance for light rain or snow throughout the day Saturday with highs in the 40s. The forecast for Sunday is looking much better, with highs near 70 degrees.
The Rockies just came off a three-game sweep by the Philadelphia Phillies and are 4 and 15 on on the season.
