DENVER — If you’ve been a fan of Denver sports for a while, you’ve always known Larry Walker is a legend.
He was the 1997 National League MVP while playing for the Colorado Rockies, batting .366 during a season where he also scored 49 home runs. But this story isn’t about his accomplishments in baseball.
It’s about his accomplishments in fashion. Specifically, the incredible shirt he wore on the day he knew he would find out whether he’d finally be into inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame.
Luckily, the MLB obtained video of the moment Walker learned he would make the Hall of Fame while wearing what appears to be a Spongebob Squarepants bowling shirt.
Is this the best thing that happened in the history of fashion? Maybe. Actually probably. Here’s a better shot of the shirt.
Luckily, the sleuths of Twitter already found the Spongebob shirt on Amazon. Sure, he signed a multimillion-dollar contract with the Rockies and is probably doing quite well financially, but this Hall of Famer proved that style isn’t about expense.
In fact, his Spongebob shirt can be yours for just $20 on Amazon. The Amazon reviews are promising: 4.7 out of 5 stars with seven customer ratings.
“Love the graphics and embroidery!” one reviewer named Paula D. wrote.
Honestly, same! It's worth mentioning it's the 136th most popular men's novelty shirt on Amazon. We'll see if the number climbs in the coming days due to this Hall of Famer status ...
But really, Walker is a legend in numerous regards. Case in point this …
Congratulations Larry, on the well-deserved Hall of Fame honor! The only question that remains? Can he top his Spongebob outfit for the ceremony …
