DENVER — Major League Baseball has unveiled the full lineup of holiday and special event uniforms and caps that will be worn during the 2019 season.
The Colorado Rockies and the rest of the MLB will wear special uniforms for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Armed Forces Day, Independence Day weekend, the T-Mobile Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game.
Major League Baseball says proceeds from licensed product royalties will be donated to Susan G. Komen (Mother’s Day), Prostate Cancer Foundation (Father’s Day), Stand Up To Cancer (Mother’s Day and Father’s Day), and MLB Charities (Armed Forces Day and Independence Day).
Here's your first look at the caps Rockies fans will be purchasing this summer:
Mother's Day: For games on Sunday, May 12, the caps will be highlighted with pink accents on the team logos and cap brims. Players will have the option of wearing pink socks and jerseys will feature a pink ribbon.
Armed Forces Day: For games on Saturday, May 18, all Major League Baseball personnel will wear camouflage-designed caps with their uniforms. Camo-themed socks will be optional.
Father's Day: For games on Sunday, June 16, New Era designed a new cap with light blue crowns to accent team colors on the brim and logo. Jerseys will have a light blue ribbon for prostate cancer while light blue socks will be optional.
Independence Day Weekend: The Rockies and all of Major League Baseball will don stars and stripes caps for the 12th consecutive summer. Players will have the option of wearing socks with a fireworks design in 2019.
