Colorado School of Mines football team reveals roster photos

Each year the school takes spectacularly outrageous headshots of players to post on the team's website.

GOLDEN, Colo. — The Colorado School of Mines football team has released their 2024 player photos.

Each year the school takes spectacularly outrageous headshots of players to post on the team's website.

At first glance, there is nothing unusual about this year's photos until you get to runningback Braelon Tate. The stress of the upcoming season appears to be turning half his hair gray.

If Tate's half-gray head didn't stop you from scrolling on, runningback Konnor Mickelsen's pigtails just might do it.

A few players like Carter Forsythe, Will Richardson and Joseph Capra were rocking long hair over their eyes, making it hard for opponents to see what they are watching.

Jaxon Sayers was able to create a last minute beard and mustache from his lovely long locks. Scotty Gange best summed up Sayers' look with "no notes, just perfection."

No squad can be complete without a director of team morale. Ella Groner, the dog, will be keeping spirits high through the season.

Last year the Orediggers fell short of an NCAA Division 2 championship with a 38-7 loss to Harding.

The Orediggers will start their season against West Texas A&M on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Alumni Field at Marv Kay Stadium in Golden.

The full roster can be found on the team's webpage.
