For those keeping score at home, John Elway has now won four championships.
He won two Super Bowls as a player and one as the Vice President of Football Operations. And now, he's the champion of our 9NEWS Bracket Insanity.
After three weeks of the polls being open, 64 names to start and almost 70,000 votes that were cast online and on our 9NEWS Sports Facebook page, Elway cruised to the title of favorite Colorado athlete of all time.

While many matchups in the final rounds went down to the final minutes of voting, Elway was a different story.
Going up against some of the best players in state history in their respective sports, he still breezed through the field in every round on his way to the crown.
On average, the new king of Colorado won each matchup with a dominating 80 percent share of the votes.
During his run, Elway knocked off legendary athletes Byron Beck, Becky Hammon, Amy Van Dyken, Chauncey Billups, Joe Sakic and finally, former teammate Terrell Davis.
After all of that, No. 7 is the undisputed favorite Colorado athlete of all time.
