KUSA--John Bowlen not only claimed he is the Denver Broncos' owner during a 9-1-1 call, he also said he is "the blood of the city."

What is known is Bowlen is the 29-year-old son of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, who relinquished controlled of the team back in July 2014 with the revelation he is battling Alzheimer's disease. John Bowlen, the younger of Pat Bowlen's two sons, is employed as a marketing assistant at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, where the team plays.

John Bowlen was arrested Wednesday night by Glendale police on a domestic violence harassment charge and was held overnight at the Arapahoe County Jail. Bowlen appeared Thursday in Arapahoe County Court via video monitor from jail with his attorney Harvey Steinberg. Bowlen was released on a personal recognizance bond Thursday evening with conditions of monitored sobriety and he not cohabitate with his victim/girlfriend. However, a judge did allow Bowlen and his girlfriend to have contact with each other.

KUSA was able to obtain the reverse 9-1-1 call that a dispatcher placed to a phone that Bowlen answered and, in impaired speech, carried on a conversation for nearly 4 minutes.

The first call was made by a female to 9-1-1.

"Yeah I'm a … Ahhhh (woman screaming.)" The call then hung up.

The 9-1-1 dispatcher called the phone number back and this time John Bowlen picked up. Bowlen answered by saying: "This is the owner of the Denver Broncos. I am sorry, OK? I have a crazy girlfriend that is leaving my house right now. Nothing is wrong at all. You can call the sergeant of police Mickey Morton. You can call (longtime Bowlen security representative) Dave Abrams. You can call anyone you want. Please do not do anything right now. Nothing is wrong. I swear on my life. OK?"

Later in the call, Bowlen seemed desperate to prevent the dispatcher from calling authorities.

"She is leaving right now, we are loading her car up and she is just trying to ruin my life, so," Bowlen said.

The dispatcher asked Bowlen why the woman called 9-1-1.

"Because she's crazy right now. She's leaving right now. Everything is fine."

Asked if the woman was his girlfriend, Bowlen said: "No, not anymore. As of about 4 hours ago. … This is ridiculous. I haven't done nothing wrong."

When the dispatcher asked Bowlen if she could talk to the woman, he said: "She has had seven beers. She is 95 pounds and she is being picked up by another male who she works out with. She is fine. And she is trying to cause a problem.

"As the blood of the city … I am telling you right now nothing is wrong and she is leaving my house, OK?"

The dispatcher suggested that perhaps Bowlen needed help escorting the woman out.

"No, no, no, no, no," Bowlen said. "Trust me, I already have the concierge coming up from downstairs and we're good to go. OK? I am sober. I'm a man of my word. I'm a man of the city, a friend of the mayor and everybody knows exactly who I am and I'm going through a lot because I've been taking care of my dad. She is leaving right now, nothing is wrong, I love you guys. Thank you. Bye bye."

He then hung up.
