LONGMONT, Colo. — Mead High School freshman Trey Tatham recently accomplished a lifelong dream of competing at the Colorado state wrestling championships.
And his victory a decade earlier makes it that much sweeter.
As a 5-year-old, Trey was diagnosed with cancer. He went through 43 grueling rounds of chemotherapy as well as radiation treatment, but still was sure to play and continue being a kid. And ten years later he stepped up on the mat at our state's greatest tournament.
Watch Trey's original story from 2013 in the video below, as well as the follow-up at the top of this story!
