AURORA, Colo. — It's not often we get to see such a star-studded matchup so early into the season, but Grandview and Chaparral gave the state of Colorado a five-set thriller early into the school year.
Coming in as the number one team in the state, Grandview senior Gabriella Placide and junior Emerson Deferme were outstanding. While Chaparral boasted several great athletes on the court as the number three ranked team in Colorado.
The match went to a maximum of five sets, with the home squad Grandview winning the close battle in front of a remarkable showing of fans dressed in a beach theme.
