KUSA - The Ponderosa Mustangs shut out the Northglenn Norsemen 8-0 at Coors Field on Thursday and improve to 6-3 on the season.
The Mustangs were led by ace Bryan King who allowed only one run in six innings pitched. He did get help from his offense. Ponderosa jumped out to a 3-0 lead the first and then scored two in the sixth while adding three in the final inning.
Ponderosa will begin league play at home when they host the Chaparral Wolverines on Monday, April 6 at 4:15 p.m. Meanwhile, Northglenn will hit the road and play Rangeview in its first conference matchup on Saturday, April 4 at 11 a.m.
