DENVER — The highly touted 3-star quarterback from Fairview, Bekkem Kritza, has made his decision on where he'd like to play collegiately.
“For the next three or four years I'll be committed to Penn State University,” Kritza announced.
Kritza will be leaving Boulder and the Fairview Knights to become a Nittany Lion after the 2024 season.
"It just felt like home," Kritza said. "The first time I stepped on campus, it was just a different vibe with the coaches, the players, and the fans. Last Saturday I looked up I was in the middle of the field I looked up to 110,000 fans packing the stands, our most ever in attendance for a Penn State game, I just believed it was home."
Kritza, who once led the state and in passing yards as a freshman, chose Penn State over Miami, Texas A&M, Washington, and Colorado.
"I love Boulder and Coach Prime but I had to choose what feels like home for me," Kritza explained.
With recruitment now out of the way, Kritza still has an entire senior year of high school to focus on next season.
"Obviously I want to get Coach Mac a ring before I leave and you know, that's the biggest goal right now," Kritza said. "And that's part of the reason why I wanted to commit early, you know, get out the way and now it's time to grind for a state championship."
Plus he says don’t let the three stars fool you.
“I’m the best QB in the country," Kritza expressed. "So I'm going to keep striving and being the best player I can be, on and off the field."
Kritza will spend the 2024 season with the Fairview Knights before heading off to college.
