KUSA — The Broncos are on summer break, high school student-athletes are on summer break, but football -- football is a constant these days.
The Denver Broncos once again hosted a successful 7-on-7 and linemen challenge tournaments, with the champions being crowned Saturday at the UCHealth Training Center.
More than 160 combined teams making up more than 30 percent of high school football teams in Colorado, competed in the week-long event. Columbine High School swept the championships.
The 7-on-7 tournament featured scrimmages, while the linemen challenge included tug-of-war, tractor tire flip, obstacle course, five-man sled push and various relays.
