PUEBLO, Colo. — Simply dominant.
Limon flexed its muscles against rival Strasburg in the Class 1A football championship game on Saturday, winning 50-13 at the CSU-Pueblo ThunderBowl. The Badgers have now claimed five of the past six 1A championships.
It is the 22nd football state title in program history for the Badgers — far more than any other school in Colorado history (next-closest is Cherry Creek with 13).
The win capped off another undefeated season for Limon, who went a perfect 13-0 in route to the championship.
Strasburg finishes with 10-3 overall as runner-up in a season highlighted with a nine-game win streak.
