ERIE, Colo. — Next round up for the Erie football team.
The Tigers, who are the No. 2 seed in the Class 4A football playoff bracket, defeated No. 7 Dakota Ridge, 35-7, on Saturday to advance to the state semifinals.
Erie has rattled off an 11-game winning streak since dropping its season opener to an out-of-state opponent on the road in Florida.
The Tigers move on to face No. 3 Montrose next weekend with a trip to the championship game on the line. Erie defeated Montrose earlier this season, 38-28 in Week 3.
Dakota Ridge's season ends with an 8-4 overall record.
