AURORA, Colo. — It doesn't get any better this this. Quite literally.
The top two girls basketball teams in the Class 6A rankings clashed Monday night to settle who would reign atop Colorado.
No. 1 Cherokee Trail did enough to hold off No. 2 Legend for a 52-42 on the Cougars' home court.
"The whole team, we put (tonight) in our calendars and said 'That's the day that everyone's going to show up, and we're going to show out'," junior Delainey Miller said.
The Cougars are eyeing a run at the state championship title in March, with the slogan 'Unfinished Business' to fuel their season.
"We're more experienced this year," Miller said. "We're going to go far this year."
