CENTENNIAL, Colo. — The Arapahoe girls basketball team in moving on.
In their opening-round game of the 5A state tournament on Tuesday night, the Warriors defeated Douglas County 61-30 to advance.
Arapahoe, a 20-seed in the 5A bracket, used a 26-point third quarter to distance itself from 45-seed Douglas County. The second-half surge was a change of pace from the 23-9 halftime score.
Arapahoe moves on to play 13-seed ThunderRidge in the second round on Friday. The Grizzlies will host that game after earning an opening-round bye.
