Elise Cranny broke the all-time Colorado high school record in the 3200 at the state track and field meet Friday in Lakewood.
Cranny won the 4A state title with a time of 10:17.48 seconds, shattering the previous record set by Melody Fairchild in 1991.
Cranny also won the 800 later in the day pushing her state championship win total to nine between track and cross country. The Stanford commit will run the 1600 on the final day of competition.
