LAKEWOOD, Colo — The Cherry Creek Bruins are state champions once again.
Cherry Creek added another title to its collection — more than any other high school in Colorado — by capturing the esports League of Legends championship. The Bruins defeated Cherokee Trail 2-0 in the final at Localhost in Lakewood on Monday night.
Esports are in their second year as an official sanctioned activity by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA).
Earlier in the day, Valor Christian won the Rocket League state title by defeating Fort Collins.
