DENVER — It feels like the entire universe now knows about Kansas City Chiefs' star tight end Travis Kelce and his love story with pop-music sensation Taylor Swift all too well.
There are haters, there are lovers — and then there are people in between who don't really care either way.
Well, count me in as a lover. As a guy who's obsessed with sports, obviously, and music — I'm excited the Super Bowl is going to have a new energy to it.
Why not make the biggest sporting event in the world even bigger!?
I don't believe Swift is ruining the sport like the Brads and Chads do. Every time I hear outrage, I just think 'You need to calm down! Why waste energy on this?'
She's a great influence on the younger generation. She's making the league that you love a ton of money, and it doesn't seem like a fake celebrity PR-driven relationship. And it's also cool that new fans have been brought to the game.
So I hope the Brads and Chads have a cruel summer for hating on something that doesn't even affect them.
After all, karma is a relaxing thought.
