KUSA — LOVELAND - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Idaho Steelheads 6-2 to take a 2-0 playoff series lead Sunday at the Budweiser Events Center.
Colorado forwards Shawn St-Amant and J.C. Beaudin each scored two goals. Eagles goalie Joe Cannata made 32 saves on 34 shots.
The Eagles next play on Wednesday, May 2 in Boise, Idaho at the CenturyLink Arena.
If necessary in the best-of-seven series, the Eagles will next play at home on Monday, May 7 (game 6) and Wednesday, May 9 (game 7).
