ENGLEWOOD – The Broncos suffered their first major injury of the offseason as linebacker Deiontrez Mount has suffered a torn Achilles, sources tell 9NEWS.
Mount, who played in the Broncos’ final seven games last season as a core special teams players, will have surgery in the next day or two and is out for the season.
Mount suffered the injury while rushing the quarterback during an organized team activity (OTA) play. The third-year NFL player from Louisville had previously played with Tennessee and Indianapolis.
