Wiggins' Elijah Mora takes top spot in Xtreme Bulls event at Greeley Stampede

The 98th Greeley Stampede runs through July 7 at the Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley.

GREELEY, Colo. — Elijah Mora from Wiggins took home the top prize at the PRCA Xtreme Bulls event Wednesday night at the 98th annual Greeley Stampede.

Renowned stock contractor Beutler & Sons Rodeo Company provided the rodeo athletes for some of the best bull riders in the country.

Wednesday night's cowboy protection team included Chuck Swisher, Dustin Konig and Wacey Munsell. 

The first PRCA rodeo series event is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.

The 13-day Greeley Stampede festival has been a Colorado tradition since 1922 focused on celebrating and preserving our state's Western heritage through rodeo, concerts, a carnival, vendor fair, food and more.

The Greeley Stampede, which runs through Sunday, July 7, also features a large Independence Day celebration.
