Your 'Buy' Power: A look at how far your dollars go in today's metro Denver housing market

How far do your dollars go in today's housing market? 9NEWS explores homes in 23 cities across the Front Range.

Inventory continues to climb in today's metro Denver housing market, according to the latest housing report from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors.

The number of homes on the market in metro Denver is at a three-year high, up 3.96 percent year-over-year.

The climb in active listings is not slowing down the hot market: The average year-to-date sold price stands at $526,313 for single-family homes, up 9.68 percent from last year. The median sold price is $446,003, up 8.78 percent year-over-year, the report says.

Those hot housing numbers mean the buying power of dollars are changing. With that in mind, 9NEWS Mornings on Tuesday will look at how far your dollars go in today's housing market in 23 metro Denver cities, from Golden out west to Aurora in the east, Northglenn in the north and Castle Rock in the south -- and everything in between.

$350,000 or less
