Three Nebraskans in plane crash near Wyoming's Gannett Peak

DUBOIS, Wyo. (AP) - A small plane missing for three days was Wednesday near Gannett Peak in west-central Wyoming.

Authorities say all three passengers, all from Nebraska, are dead. Ground crews found debris at about 10:30 this morning and discovered the plane wreckage shortly thereafter. The plane was carrying Rod and Char Lashley, of Mitchell, and Leslie Hofmeister, of Scottsbluff. They are the parents and girlfriend of University of Arizona golfer Nate Lashley, also a Mitchell native. He was NOT on the plane. Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board are en route, as well as local body recovery teams. The plane disappeared from radar south of Dubois on Sunday. Authorities say Rod Lashley was apparently trying to fly to Riverton to wait out a spate of bad weather.
