Two people are in custody following two gun store break-ins and a pursuit early Thursday morning in Douglas County.
One of the suspects, identified as 19-year-old Denver man Cain Gallardo, has been booked on charges of attempted burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. He is being held on a $5,000 bond, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The other suspect is under 18 was not identified by name.
Around 4 a.m. Thursday, an alarm went off at a gun store in Castle Rock. Following that incident, the sheriff's office put out a warning for other guns stores in the area.
"We witnessed another glass break," said Douglas County Deputy Jason Blanchard. "They did do another glass break at the gun store where we immediately interacted with them."
The suspects fled in a white Impala that was reported stolen out of Denver, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies chased the suspects and they eventually crashed into another car near West Town Center Dr and Highway 85 in Highlands Ranch after deputies deployed stop sticks.
One person was immediately taken into custody, and a K9 tracked down a second suspect, Blanchard said. The third suspect is still at large, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies believe he could be armed because there was a shotgun inside the vehicle when it was stolen and it has not been recovered.
The sheriff's office said one of the robberies occurred at Jackson Creek Armory. The gun store in Castle Rock was not named.
