A Boulder cyclist who competed in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro has been reunited with her bike after it was stolen from her home.
The Daily Camera reports that Mara Abbott, who placed fourth in the women's road race at the Olympics, picked up her commuter bike at the Boulder Police Station on Monday after a good Samaritan dropped it off.
Abbott reported the mountain bike as stolen on Saturday after it went missing from her home.
On Monday, Abbott said the bike was returned to her in better condition than before. The thief or thieves had installed new lights and reapplied tape she'd previously put on the bike.
Abbott said the bike's trailer is still missing, but she's happy to have her bike back.
