COLORADO, USA — Each year, many restaurants offer free food and deals to veterans and active-duty military members on Veterans Day to pay it forward as a way of saying "thank you for your service."
Most places require a military ID or proof of service to redeem the offer.
Here is a list of locations offering special deals on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Applebee's
All active duty military, veterans, reserves and National Guard can get a free Applebee's in-restaurant full-size entrée from the following choices:
- 6 oz. Top Sirloin
- Double Crunch Shrimp
- Fiesta Lime Chicken
- Chicken Tenders Platter
- Classic Bacon Cheeseburger
- Oriental Chicken Salad
- Three-Cheese Chicken Penne
Guests will also get a $5 bounce back card to redeem for dine-in, to go or delivery within a three-week redemption window.
Bar Louie
Those who have served and are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces can get a free craft burger of their choice with a valid military ID at Bar Louie.
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse
Vereans can receive a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with a minimum purchase of $11.95 at BJ's.
Bubba's 33
All veterans — including active, retired or former U.S. military — can get a free lunch at Bubba's 33 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Service members can choose one of six entrees, plus a drink.
Chili's
All veterans and active military members can get a free meal for dine-in from the following menu at Chili's:
- Chili or soup with side salad
- Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas
- Old Timer with Cheese
- Three-piece Chicken Crispers with fries
Cicis Pizza
All veterans and active-duty military can get a free buffet at Cici's on Veterans Day with a valid active-duty or retired military ID.
Colorado State Parks
Colorado Parks and Wildlife offers veterans, active-duty military and the National Guard free admission to all Colorado state parks on Saturday, Nov. 11. Veterans and military members, residents and non-residents, can visit any Colorado state park for free by showing proof of military service. Vehicles displaying a Colorado disabled veteran or Purple Heart license plate receive free entry to all state parks year-round.
Denny's
Denny's is offering a free Original Grand Slam to all active and retired military personnel for dine-in only at participating locations from 5 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 10, with a valid military ID or DD 214.
Dickey's Barbecue Pit
Military veterans can get a free Pulled Pork Sandwich in-store, for carryout, in the Dickey's app or online.
Dunkin
Dunkin’ is honoring members of the military with a free donut for Veterans Day, giving all retired and active military a free donut of their choice on Saturday, Nov. 11, at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide.
Famous Dave's
All military personnel can get a free lunch at Famous Dave's of the Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich and the choice of a side. Online orders can use the code VETERAN to redeem the offer. Valid proof of service is required at pickup.
Golden Corral
All Golden Corral locations will give active military and veterans a free Military Appreciation Night dinner (buffet and beverage) on Monday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. until closing.
Hooters
Veterans and active-duty military who present proof of service or a military ID — with purchase of a beverage —can get a free Hooters dinner entrée from the following options:
- 10-Piece Boneless Wings
- Hooters Burger
- Grilled Chicken Sandwich
- Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
- Buffalo Chicken Salad
IHOP
Veterans and active duty military can get a free stack of Red, White and Blueberry Pancakes at IHOP from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with military ID or proof of service on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Kohl's
Active and former military personnel, veterans and their immediate families will get 30% off at Kohl's in stores Veterans Day weekend — Friday, Nov. 10, through Sunday, Nov, 12, — with a valid ID.
Kohl's Military Mondays offers active military, veterans, retirees and their immediate family members a 15% discount on purchases made on Mondays, in store only.
Little Caesars
Veterans and active military members can receive a free Lunch Combo, which features four slices of Little Caesars famous Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza paired with a 20-ounce Pepsi product, on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Macaroni Grill
All veterans and active military can get a free Mom's Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti at Macaroni Grill with a military ID.
National Parks
All National Park Service (NPS) sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Outback Steakhouse
Outback Steakhouse is giving all active and retired military personnel a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entree in-restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Outback Steakhouse gives nurses, doctors, medical staff, military veterans, servicemen and women, police, firefighters and first responders 10% off their entire check all day, every day, with valid medical, state or federal service ID.
Red Lobster
Red Lobster will give veterans, active-duty military and reservists a meal voucher on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a Veterans Shrimp & Chips dinner to be redeemed from Monday, Nov. 13, to Sunday, Dec. 10.
Red Robin
Veterans and active duty members can get a free Red Robin Red's Big Tavern Burger, which comes with free refills on Bottomless Steak Fries on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Scooter’s Coffee
On Saturday, Nov. 11, veterans can receive a free handcrafted drink of any size at Scooter’s Coffee.
Sports Clips
On Nov. 11, participating Sport Clips locations will provide free haircuts to veterans and active duty service members as well as donate $2 for every haircut service provided on that day.
Starbucks
Starbucks is honoring those who have served with a free tall hot or cold brewed coffee for Veterans, military service members and military spouses who visit participating U.S. Starbucks stores on Saturday, Nov. 11.
7-Eleven
7-Eleven is offering a free Quarter-Pound Big Bite 100% all-beef hot dog in honor of veterans. Available in-store and via delivery through the 7NOW app, this deal is only redeemable on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks is veterans a free lunch on Veterans Day. Choices include a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, Caesar salad (chicken or shrimp), or Chicken Street Tacos.
Wendy's
Those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military can get a free Wendy's breakfast combo Saturday, Nov. 11, during breakfast hours.
