COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The United States Air Force Academy is inviting the public to join its staff in placing flags on veteran graves for Memorial Day weekend.
The public is welcome to assist staff in placing 1,500 American flags on Friday at 9:45 a.m. at the Academy Cemetery.
The American flags will be provided by the Air Force Academy and volunteers are not required to RSVP. Anyone is welcome and there are no uniform requirements for veterans.
The cemetery is located at 3026 Parade Loop Road at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Memorial Wall.
