1 dead after falling at Ohio Stadium during graduation ceremony

The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the person on Tuesday as 53-year-old Larissa Brady.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman died after falling at Ohio Stadium during the university’s spring commencement ceremony Sunday afternoon.

A spokesperson for The Ohio State University said she fell from the stands and died. The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the person on Tuesday as 53-year-old Larissa Brady.

Brady was pronounced dead at 12:25 p.m. by medics, according to the Columbus Division of Police. 

The commencement began at noon and the program continued as planned with no changes.

“For anyone affected by today's incident, we will make counseling and other support resources available,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
