Murder suspect 'felt like killing someone'

Police arrested a man they saidbeat another man to death in front of a crowd of people at an Amtrak Station.
Michael Joseph Fobbs, 21, has been charged with murder in the July 3, 2014, beating death of a 56-year-old man at an Amtrak station in San Antonio, Texas.

SAN ANTONIO — Police arrested a man they said beat another man to death in front of a crowd of people at an Amtrak Station.

Michael Joseph Fobbs, 21, is charged with murder for the beating that took place Thursday. Investigators said the victim was sitting on a bench by himself waiting to board a bus when Fobbs approached the man and started beating him.

Police said Fobbs then paused for a few moments, said, "I feel like killing someone," and then continued to beat the man with his fists until he was dead.

Police said Amtrak security did rush to the scene but it was already too late.

The victim is a 56-year-old man from Texas.

The Medical Examiner's office has not released the victim's name, because they have not been able to notify his family yet.

Fobbs is in Jail under a $150,000 bond.
