Man gets life for revenge killing at Old Navy store

BOULDER - A Boulder man who stabbed an Old Navy worker because he was upset with the teen's father was sentenced to life in prison without parole Friday.

Robert Powers, 39, killed 19-year-old Angie Fuentes at an Old Navy in Boulder last fall. The teen's father had broken off a homosexual affair with Powers, and Powers promised revenge, prosecutors said.

Powers was convicted last month of first-degree murder in the Sept. 20 slaying.

Prosecutors decided not to seek the death penalty in this case.
