Under a plea agreement he was sentenced to one year in jail. Nina Anderson was shot to death in February of 1973, just nine days after she married Charles Anderson. At the time, the coroner ruled it was an "accidental" death.
Lisa Cappeli, the victim's daughter, campaigned for the past eight years to have the case reopened. Cappeli said she has mixed feelings about Anderson's plea.

Charles Anderson will get credit for the time he's already served in jail, so he will be released on parole next March.
