GLENWOOD SPRINGS - The Oak Meadows fire that burned nearly 50 acres south of Glenwood Springs has been fully contained.
The fire, which was previously called the Aspen Way fire, was 100 percent contained Sunday night the Garfield County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.
Crews will remain on scene Monday for the final mop-up.
People living in the Oak Meadows Subdivision were forced to evacuate their homes for a few hours when the fire first started Friday evening. There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
