BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — The seven-acre Lake Shore Fire that began Wednesday near Gross Reservoir is 100% contained, the Boulder Office of Disaster Management said on Friday.
Mountain View Fire Rescue said Thursday morning that crews worked overnight to keep the spread minimal for the Lake Shore Fire on the northeast end of Gross Reservoir off Lakeshore Drive. The department said it does not expect to give any additional updates on the fire unless there is a significant shift in the weather.
Boulder County Sheriff Curtis Johnson previously said Wednesday night that the fire was 0% contained, but he did not believe there would be a problem with containment. Two structures have been impacted, including a home.
Johnson said the fire is human-caused but appears to be accidental. He said the sheriff's office is talking to two people they believe may be involved, and no arrests have been made.
Officials in Boulder County began issuing evacuation orders just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Evacuations
As of 9 a.m. on Thursday, all evacuation orders were lifted, including for the Lakeshore Park Neighborhood area immediately northeast of Gross Reservoir.
Previous evacuation orders have been lifted as of 6 p.m. Wednesday.
