DOUGLAS COUNTY - Two small fires erupted in different areas of Douglas County Thursday afternoon.
Crews were battling a two-acre wildfire near Perry Park. Helicopters dropped water on the fire, which significantly knocked it down stopped it from spreading. No structures were threatened.
A two-acre brush fire was burning in the Highlands Ranch area. West Douglas and South Metro fire departments responded and had it knocked down in about 20 minutes.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported. It's not known what sparked the fires.
