DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — A brush fire just south of Chatfield State Park burned about 5 acres of grass and weeds, according to a tweet from the South Metro Fire Department.
No one was injured and no structures were threatened.
Smoke was mainly visible from the south.
Chatfield State Park is located in Douglas and Jefferson counties. It's about 33 miles southwest of Denver, or about a 47-minute drive.
South Metro said the cause is under investigation.
