WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A stretch of Sheridan Boulevard was closed for hours after a deadly crash in Westminster Saturday.
The Westminster Police Department said the crash Saturday afternoon involved two Dodge pickup trucks. One truck was heading south on Sheridan Boulevard, and the other was heading north.
The trucks collided at the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and West 76th Avenue as the northbound pickup turned left onto West 76th Avenue, according to police.
The driver of the southbound truck and the woman riding with him were taken to the hospital. The driver died.
The other driver was also taken to the hospital. It's not clear how seriously he and the woman were injured.
Police believe the driver of the southbound pickup was driving too fast.
Sheridan Boulevard was closed from West 80th Avenue to West 73rd Avenue. It has since reopened.
