June 21 is National Take Your Dog to Work Day. In recognition of the workplaces that cater to dog-lovers, petsitting and dog-walking website Rover.com has released a list of the 100 most dog-friendly companies across the U.S.

Phil Tedeschi, executive director of the Institute for Human-Animal Connection at the University of Denver and Rover's human-animal behavior expert, says other employees as well as dog owners benefit from the presence of friendly canines.

“The bond between humans and animals is good for human health and can build connections in the work environment,” Tedeschi said. “Pets often allow for engagement and shared activity, in turn strengthening bonds among coworkers.”

To compile the list, Rover polled more than 100 companies and ranked them based on multiple factors, including the total number of dogs allowed in the office, dog and pet parent perks, and office amenities geared towards dogs.
