KUSA – The last of the suspects in a north metro drug ring has been sentenced.

Robert Fidencio Vigil, 29, charged with violating Colorado's Organized Crime Control Act, was sentenced to 35 years in prison Monday.

The drug trafficking group began as a prison gang. As members were released from jail, they began importing methamphetamine and cocaine from Mexico and became a major drug trafficking organization, selling illegal drugs throughout the north metro area..

Another 35 people were charged with lesser drug offenses, including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. All of the cases have been concluded except for two suspects with outstanding warrants, who are believed to be in Mexico.
