KUSA - Water restrictions for the South Platte River in Douglas and Jefferson County are now lifted.
The water had been running too high and too fast for activities like tubing, rafting, kayaking, fishing and swimming.
The restrictions were from the Jefferson/Park County line to Chatfield Reservoir.
A hiking trail through Waterton Canyon closed and then reopened earlier this summer.
