If you have not had your fix of watching feathered friends on a live stream (remember the eagles?), you can now watch a nest of ospreys in Emma, Colorado.

Emma is located northwest of Aspen in Pitkin County.

Osprey cam was installed in December 2015 by a Holy Cross Energy crew.

Viewers can keep tabs on the lives of the birds and their nest by watching the live feed from Pitkin County.

The nest is located over Highway 82 near the old Emma Store and adjacent to an old Victorian house. The nest can be seen from the road.

A breeding pair of ospreys has returned to the same nest for several years.

Viewers of the osprey cam can watch the birds prep their nest, which was relocated by Holy Cross several years ago. They can also see the laying of eggs and hatchlings.

Ospreys, also known as fish hawks, are birds of prey whose diets consist mainly of fish. They tend to nest near bodies of water and are found in all continents except Antarctica. The Emma ospreys get their food from the nearby Roaring Forks River.
