ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have suspended a search for a 57-year-old woman missing after reportedly leaving her campsite near Aspen.
A man who had been camping with Dorothy Jenkins said she walked away from their campsite near Burnt Mountain on Aug. 17 and never returned. He reported her missing the next day.
The Aspen Times reports that three search and rescue groups looked for Jenkins but found no sign of her.
Eagle County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jessie Mosher wouldn't comment on whether foul play is suspected but said there is still an active investigation in the case.
