LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — Several crews are responding to a plane crash near Storm Mountain on Saturday, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
In a social media post just before 12:10 p.m., the agency said that Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies and Larimer County Emergency Services were among those responding to the reported crash. Teams are actively trying to contact those who are on the plane, the post reads.
SKY9 flew over the crash site and captured the plane's tail number, N434CP. According to records from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Cessna single-engine plane is registered to the Civil Air Patrol. The Civil Air Patrol is a public service organization that conducts emergency service operations, including search and rescue missions.
The crash reportedly happened in the area of Storm Mountain, which is near Glen Haven and Estes Park.
