DENVER — Fans attending sporting events and concerts at Pepsi Center this fall will notice a new traffic pattern and rideshare area when leaving the arena.
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment says Chopper Circle will now close mid-event and all rideshare traffic will be diverted to the west side of the Toyota Tundra Parking Lot (near Chopper Cir. & 11th St.) where all pick-ups will be made.
When Chopper Circle (which runs directly in front of Pepsi Center) closes during events, road closure barriers will be placed at four locations:
- Chopper Cir. and 12th St.
- Chopper Cir. and 11th St.
- On Chopper Cir. at the main roundabout
- Auraria Pkwy and 9th St.
Once Chopper Circle is closed, all rideshare companies, limos, Access-a-Ride and taxis will be directed to the Tundra Parking Lot (seen in purple in the map below).
“KSE’s top priority is the safety of our fans,” said Kroenke Sports & Entertainment's SVP of Venue Operations Dave Jolette, in a news release. “With the growth of ride share usage by our fans, an organized location that can handle the volume of customers is vital to providing a secure pick up system that will enhance the overall fan experience at Pepsi Center.”
The new traffic pattern will commence at the start of the second period of Colorado Avalanche games, when the main act takes the stage at concerts and family events, at the start of halftime for Denver Nuggets games and at the start of halftime for Colorado Mammoth games.
